Rentana Privacy Policy

Rentana Inc. (“Rentana”, “we”, or “us”) provides revenue management products and services (the “Platform”). The Platform, together with our website at rentana.io, any other websites or applications that we control, and any other products or services provided by Rentana are collectively referred to as the “Services”.

Rentana respects and values your privacy. This privacy policy (the “Policy”) describes the types of information we may collect when you access or use the Services, and our practices for collecting, using, maintaining, protecting and disclosing that information. Please familiarize yourself with this Policy. By accessing or using the Services, you acknowledge that you have read, understand, and agree to the terms of this Policy.

Information that We Collect

We and our third-party service providers may collect Personal Information when you provide it to us directly, such as when you register for the Services, enter a contractual agreement with us, contact customer service, or otherwise communicate with us. For purposes of this Policy, “Personal Information” means any information of our customers or our customers’ end users that relates to an identifiable individual.

Information that You Provide to Us

  • Registration Information. When you register for the Services or sign up to receive other communications from us, we may collect your personal information, such as your name, email address, phone number, employer, job title, or other contact information.
  • Operational Data. When you use the Services, we may collect information about how you use the software, such as what pages you visited or what site you came from
  • Other Information You Provide to Us Directly. We may collect any other information that you provide directly to us, for example, when you communicate with us or respond to surveys or provide your marketing preferences.

If you disclose to us or our third-party service providers any Personal Information relating to other people, you represent that you have the authority to do so.

Information Collected From Third Parties

Our third party partners (“Partners”) may provide us with certain information about their end users and residents (“End Users”) for the purpose of collecting, storing, and analyzing such information. Rentana typically has no direct relationship with End Users; we simply process and store data and information regarding End Users, which may include Personal Information (“Partner Data”) on our Partner’s behalf; Partners are responsible for directing Entrata in the processing of such information. Any use of Partner Data by us is carried out pursuant to an agreement (and/or our applicable Terms of Service) in place between Rentana and our Partner. If you, as an End User, have any questions or concerns about the data handling practices of a Partner using our Services to process and store your personal information, please contact the relevant Client directly.

Information Collected Automatically

When you access or use the Services, we or our third-party service providers may use automatic data collection technologies to collect certain information about your equipment, browsing actions, and patterns, such as: (a) details about your interaction with the Services, including traffic data, location data, logs, the date and time of your activities on the Services, the URLs of websites you visit before and after navigating to the Services, the links you click, and searches conducted; and (b) information about your computer and internet connection, including your device’s Internet Protocol (IP) address, hardware and software attributes, and browser type. The technologies that we or our third-party service providers may use for this automatic data collection may include:

  • Logs. When you access the Services, your information may be automatically collected through server logs or applications that recognize your device and gather information about its online activity.
  • Cookies. A cookie is a small file stored on your device by your web browser. You may refuse to accept browser cookies by activating the appropriate setting on your browser. However, if you select this setting you may be unable to access certain parts of the Services. We use Google Analytics to collect information about your use of the Services. Google Analytics collects information such as how often users visit our website, what pages they visit when they do so, and what other sites they used prior to coming to this site. We use the information we get from Google Analytics only to improve this site. Google Analytics collects only the IP address assigned to you on the date you visit this site, rather than your name or other identifying information. We do not combine the information collected through the use of Google Analytics with personally identifiable information. Although Google Analytics plants a permanent cookie on your web browser to identify you as a unique user the next time you visit this site, the cookie cannot be used by anyone but Google. Google’s ability to use and share information collected by Google Analytics about your visits to this site is restricted by the Google Analytics Terms of Service and the Google Privacy Policy. How We Use Information

We may use the information that you provide to us or that we collect from you for the following purposes:

  • To provide the Services, process any transactions you request, fulfill the terms of any agreement you have with us, and for any other purpose related to managing our business.
  • To communicate with you, including responding to your questions, comments, and requests; providing information about your account, customer s support, or administrative messages; or providing information about the ss, marketing messages, or other news about us.

  • To monitor, improve, personalize, and increase the functionality of the Services.

  • For any other purpose with your consent.

How We Share Information

  • Service Providers. We use third-party service providers to help us develop, operate, maintain, and promote the Services, including processing payments, hosting and processing data, and conducting analytics related to the Services. We may share your information with these providers or allow such third parties to collect information on our behalf for the purposes described in this Policy. We do not sell or rent your personal information to third parties, or otherwise allow third parties to access your information except for in accordance with this Policy. We may disclose your Personal Information to Partners as a service provider. By using the Services, you authorize and consent to the disclosure of your Personal Information to such Partners. All Personal Information disclosed to such Partners will be processed according to such Partner’s privacy policy.
  • Legal Processes. We may disclose your information if (a) we are required to do so by law or a court order, subpoena, or other legal processes, or we believe in good faith that we are lawfully authorized or required to do so, (b) we believe that disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, enforce our agreements and policies, or defend against legal claims, or (c) to investigate, prevent, and take action regarding suspected fraud, illegal activities, or threats to our users, our property, or the property or safety of any person or third party.
  • Business Transitions. We may disclose your information in connection with, or during negotiations of, any merger, sale of company assets or capital stock, financing or acquisition, reorganization, bankruptcy, consolidation, or similar transaction.
  • Aggregated Information. We may share aggregated information about our users, including demographic and usage information, with third parties. Such information does not identify individual users.

Your Privacy Choices and Opt-Out Rights

You can stop all further collection of your information by ceasing to access the Services or terminating your account. You can also opt out of promotional messages or newsletter emails by following the unsubscribe instructions at the bottom of each email. If you unsubscribe from promotional messages or newsletters, you may still receive administrative messages from us. If you no longer want to receiving promotional text message communications from us, you may opt out by replying “STOP” to any message you receive from us.

Security

We use reasonable security measures to protect your information from loss or unauthorized access, use or deletion. However, no security measures are 100% secure, and therefore we cannot guarantee the absolute security of your information. In the event of a security beach that involves your information, we will provide users with notice in accordance with applicable laws.

The Services may contain links to other sites or applications of third parties. Please note that these sites and applications have their own privacy policies. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of third-party sites or applications, or the information you share with them. This Policy applies solely to the information collected through your interaction with the Service.

Children’s Privacy

The Services are not directed to users under the age of 18, and we do not use the Services to knowingly solicit data from or market to children under the age of 18. If you believe that a child under the age of 18 has given us personal information, please contact us at privacy@rentana.io and we will take steps to delete that information.

Changes to Our Privacy Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by posting the revised Policy on our site, including an effective date for the revised Policy. We encourage you to consult this Policy regularly for any changes. Your continued use of the Services is deemed acceptance of any changes to this Policy.
